My name is Daniel Moka and I work as a Enterprise Software Engineer, recently at the OMV Group in Vienna, Austria. I am an enthusiastic software crafter having a strong background in building enterprise solutions using the .NET stack deployed to cloud environment. So far in my career I was involved in several projects and domains such as building health-care portal designed for large scale and load, asset tracking geographic information system using embedded digital map solutions, industrial paint and warehouse management system, and last but not least a custom ERP system in gas network building domain.
My main goal is to craft clean solutions with high quality, elegance and attention to details. I have a solid background using agile methodologies like SCRUM and Extreme Programming and I like providing value by applying the state-of-the-art technologies. I am a big fan of Test Driven Development and Domain Driven Design in order to produce clean code which reads like a well-written prose. Next to that I am fascinated by application containerization and I am big fan of using container orchestration technologies within a micro-service architecture. Last but not least, one of my favorite activities is to educate and mentor others in the field to fulfill their potential and deepen my knowledge.
Beyond software engineering, I love doing sports (running, cross-fit, body-building, squash) and I am keen on learning languages (English, Dutch, German, Chinese, French).
Why did I start this blog? First of all, I really enjoy helping others, it gives me a lot of satisfaction. Furthermore, during my experience I have used and deepened many professional methodologies, principles and mindset in the software engineering space, and I would like to share it with You. I hope you will find it useful, enjoy!
